DR James R. Downey

Dr. James R. Downey is the Vice President for Planning and Institutional Effectiveness at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.

Dr. Downey has been active in a variety of capacities both inside and outside of the Seminary in the work of anti-racism including both work- shops and presentations. Additionally, Dr. Downey serves on the Board of Bridge to the

Mountains, consults with colleges and universities, and teaches online courses in math and physics. He holds a graduate degree in nuclear physics from the Air Force Institute of Technology and a doctorate in aerospace engineering from the University of Illinois.
